BiomacEMG: A Pareto-Optimized System for Assessing and Recognizing Hand Movement to Track Rehabilitation Progress

چکیده
One of the most difficult components stroke therapy is regaining hand mobility. This research describes a preliminary approach to robot-assisted motion therapy. Our objectives were twofold: First, we used machine learning approaches determine and describe patterns in healthy people. Surface electrodes collect electromyographic (EMG) data from forearm’s flexion extension muscles. The time frequency characteristics as parameters algorithms recognize seven gestures track rehabilitation progress. Eight EMG sensors capture each contraction arm muscles during one actions. Feature selection was performed using Pareto front. system able reconstruct kinematics hand/finger movement simulate behaviour every pattern. Analysis has revealed that gesture categories substantially overlap feature space. correlation computed joint trajectories based on monitored 0.96 average. Moreover, statistical conducted various setups 92% accuracy measuring precision finger patterns.

Active rehabilitation involves patient's voluntary thoughts as the control signals of restore device to assist stroke rehabilitation. Although restoration of hand opening stands importantly in patient's daily life, it is difficult to distinguish the voluntary finger extension from thumb adduction and finger flexion using stroke patients' electroencephalography (EMG) on single muscle activity. متن کاملHand motion assessment and rehabilitation system.
Along with the rapid development of information technology, computers play an increasingly prominent and important role. One current trend is to use computers as instruments for physical rehabilitation. In this study, we introduce a new hand motion assessment and rehabilitation system. This system assesses a user's grip strength and records the sudden changes in air pressure through a circuit a...

As Haptic devices become more affordable and economical, research in Haptic-based virtual rehabilitation systems is gaining more interest. In addition to the benefits provided by virtual rehabilitation, Haptics offer force and tactile feedback which can be crucial for much upper and lower extremity rehabilitation. In this paper, we present such a system that provides a rich media environment fo...
متن کاملA Framework for Recognizing Hand Gestures
Traditional methods for user input, consisting of fixed key input and point-click devices, are slowly being supplemented and enhanced by touch technologies and their associated touch gestures. While these methods have proven effective, they are limited in scope in that they require a physical object or surface with which a user must interact. The use of hand gestures in free space is often seen...
